The more words I found
the more they failed me
a rudimentary and handicapped way of communicating, at best
never emoting and expressing or putting anything to rest
A sigh
a smile
a tear
a grunt
pinching of lips
making of fist
folded hands
a vacant look
arms flung wide
a glance up to the sky
communicate a whole lot more
more than words ever could
these don’t need to be translated
don’t need to be taught
don’t need to be followed up by
sorry, you misunderstood me a lot.

Words are important. As a graduate in communication I am always looking for ways to better communicate. However, a lot of times my words fall short of the emotion I am trying to convey. My tendency is to avoid these types of situations– I can tell you that these moments carry the most weight.

Thank you for sharing your insight Kim. Such situations teach that there’s always room for improvements. 😃

Wow. This is such a great one, Pallavi. It rings true – words are powerful in their own way, and yet they leave out so much. If only people could feel what I feel when I say what I say. Love it ❤

Thanks Jenny! It’s ironical that us “writers” are pointing out the limitations of words as a tool. 😃

Well said. Words can empower and they can distract and deceive. Body language says much more. Thanks for participating. I will link this up to the challenge page.

Loved this. It isn’t always what we say, but how we say it.
