Earth is ablaze, literally and figuratively
life as we know, is coming to an end
nature is taking her inescapable revenge
we pushed her over the edge
left her lacerated and scarred
her wounds are still fresh
her former spirit, ostensibly charred
It’s her turn now
to reset, redefine and purge our vile
Unless we take actions, alter ways and step out of our doldrums
her incandescent crimson fury will be our fateful cessation.

So true, Pallavi! We take nature for granted.

Thanks Kathy. We really need to. We need to be alarmed, panicked and acting NOW!

Powerful and a very poignant statement, on a topic/situation that humanity must begin to positive take action… Well done Pallavi ….

Thanks Ivor. The panic you feel in your part of the world, unfortunately, isn’t getting as much attention as it should on this side. It’s like ‘ya the neighbors house is on fire, not mine, I can sleep peacefully’ mentality. that’s scary as hell.

That’s a truthful analogy, though Pallavi… Nothing’s really awful unless it’s happening to us… But that is human nature….
However Pallavi, we’ve still 2 more months of the hot season to go…. so our story, ongoing saga, still has more chapters to go… 🌏💙🌏💙🤔

Oh! It’s definitely her turn now and I think we already are too late to correct what has been already done.
Very timely post, Pallavi! 👍👌

Isn’t that scary, Bulbul? I hate to think that you and I are right 😦

Oh, it is so scary! I am constantly worried about it and then I see people who don’t give a damn about any of this and pretend that climate change talk is a myth, it infuriates me to no extent!
About 1.2 BILLION ANIMALS (that’s entire India’s population) died in Australia’s fire, how can it not be a wake up call!
The situation is very pathetic actually, we are so right 😣😤😞😫

Yeah it breaks my heart to see the pictures from there. Really hoping this serves as a wake up call.

Well said, Pallavi! To “purge our vile,” the worse is yet to come.

It’s scary and so sad that we are leaving our kids with fewer and fainter than we inherited. 😞
